Big embroidered fan art
I finished the piece I've been working on since January. It's my first embroidered fan art!

It's got me thinking about embroidered book covers and how cool it would be to make one.

Thank you! I'm pleased with how it turned out. Very close to the image in my head. :)

It's beautiful! You rarely see three-dimensional embroidery like that. Cool idea!

Thank you! Learning how to do the 3-d embroidery was a large part of the fun of this one. :)

Did you come up with the elaborate design yourself?
It is beautiful!

My daughter is just learning to embroidery, and it has been so long since I learned that I had to bring in the big guns (My Mom) to teach her.

Thank you for the kind words-- it is my design.

My aunt taught me when I was young, and I didn't use it for a while, but it all came back. :) Hope your daughter enjoys it!
