So, last night I had this amazing dream. I jumped out of bed to transcribe it before it faded. I got some names, a few events, some really cool concepts. I was very excited about my dream-- in part because I so rarely remember them, and in part because it seemed like the seeds for a really cool story. I dare say I felt smug as I went back to bed.

When I woke up, the writing-it-down bit was revealed to be part of the dream itself, and the only part I remember. Alas.

Oh well. If it was really that fantastic, it's still in my subconscious somewhere. I do think it's kind of funny that I'm now dreaming about writing.

Oh, fuck it. I'm skipping to the next really exciting part. I'll fix this bit here when I know what's going on with it.

How do I get from where I am to where I want to be? Every time I think I see the end of the book, it moves a little farther away. This time, I'm just not sure how to get there. What sounds easy in one big step starts to fall apart when I try to break it down into the steps necessary to get there.

Oh well. I guess I'll just keep throwing words at it until something makes sense.

"scarcastically"

also, Saturday garnered me 1002 words, while Sunday was a delightful 1553.  Either I've hit a part of the story that I like a lot, or something clicked, or... I don't know.  Everything seemed to gel.  Of course, today I've mostly screwed around, but there you go.  What I have gotten done has been fun.

 When you type the words:

he asked, curious.

you are perhaps not on your A-game.
